Mission |
The college library is the chief intellectual resource of
the college community. It provides books, periodicals, and
other resource materials, while it encourages the formation
of lifelong reading habits. The library is important in
the attainment of the educational goals of both students
and faculty. Its services, provided by a competent staff,
are geared toward implementing the purpose of the College's
general program and to meet the specific educational objectives
of the institution. In addition to supporting the instructional
program to the fullest extent, the library endeavors to
meet the legitimate demands of all of its users, both on
and off campus, and to play a major role in the community
and in the wider realm of scholarship beyond the campus. |
|
Goals |
- To support the curriculum of the College
- To provide resource material in support of study and research
- To provide recreational reading materials for the College community
- To instill in the library's users the attitudes and skills necessary
to make them lifelong library users
